16 Main St in DUMBO, gallery on 3rd floor
A one night pop up exhibition showcasing talented, ambitious, and most impressively, young artists who express their vision in ways far beyond their years. Opening on August 1st, we as a collective of six young artists living and working in New York will explore what it means to be an adult in the context of today’s society. Through different mediums we question what exactly defines adulthood, the relationships we build and watch crumble at the weight of youthful ignorance, and how our city of New York plays a role in the need for maturity or even less intentional, an accidental adulthood among youth culture that is demanded of young artists today. These six artists show what it means to them to be young yet without innocence in today’s society.
